Sarah Peirse

Sarah Peirse (* in New Zealand ) is a New Zealand actress who can mainly be seen in films and series from her home country.

Life

Peirse has been in front of the camera since 1980. She began her career in smaller New Zealand, partly also Australian productions. She became better known in 1994 when she got a bigger role in the film Heavenly Creatures and was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Chlotrudis Awards in 1995 . In 1999 she had a leading role in the series Dog's Head Bay , which was discontinued after only 13 episodes. This was followed by guest appearances in various series, television and cinema films. For her portrayal in Rain - Regentage she was again nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Chlotrudis Awards in 2003. In the series Old School she again played a leading role. She became known internationally for the role of "Hilda Bianca" in the last two parts of the Hobbit trilogy . After Heavenly Creatures , this was the second collaboration with director Peter Jackson .
