Saralasin is an angiotensin II inhibitor or competitive antagonist . It is an angiotensin-II analog that contains sarcosine -1 and alanine -8 - hence the name (sarcosine, alanine, angiotensin). The active ingredient plays a role in the area of hypertension and aldosterone secretion .
