Saravan ( Persian سراوان, DMG Sarāvān ; formerly Shastoon ) is a city in southeastern Iran . It is located in the administrative district of the same name , which lies in the province of Sistan and Balochistan .

history

On April 16, 2013, a severe earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 hit the Saravan area. The epicenter was around 95 kilometers north of the city of Saravan. There was no major damage in the city itself.
