Sərdar Həsənov
Sərdar Həsənov (born May 12, 1985 in Baku ) is an Azerbaijani weightlifter .
Career
Həsənov reached fifth place in the class up to 62 kg at the European Championships in 2008 and took part in the 2008 Olympic Games . In 2009 he switched to the 69 kg class and finished eighth at the European Championships . At the 2010 European Championships , he finished fifth and at the 2010 World Championships in sixth place. In 2011 he finished fifth at the 2011 World Championships . At the 2012 Olympics , he finished eighth.
Repeat doping offenders
In 2013 Həsənov was second at the European Championships . Since his doping test was positive, his medal was revoked and he was banned for two years. In 2016, his doping sample was retested from the 2008 Olympic Games using improved methods and found a positive result. The IOC subsequently disqualified him.
