Sarkis Kalfa

Sarkis Kalfa (* in Kayseri , Ottoman Empire ; † 1740 at the latest) was an Armenian architect . ( Kalfa means journeyman and is part of the name).

After the fire of July 6th, 1718 he rebuilt the Patriarchal Church in Constantinople together with the architect Araboğlu Hacı Melidon Kalfa . In 1727 he renovated the Surp Garabed Church of Scutari from the foundations. The Surp Krikor Lussaworitsch Church, which burned down in Galata in 1731 , was rebuilt the following year.

He died in 1740 at the latest.
