The Sartul-Gegetui-Dazan ( Russian Сартул-Гэгэтуйский дацан) is a Dazan ( Buddhist monastery complex with university) near the village of Gegetui (Гэгэтуй) in Jida Rajon , Republic of Buryatia , Russia. It was founded as a temple in 1707 and became a teaching facility with the establishment of the Faculty of Buddhist Philosophy in 1881. It was destroyed in 1937. From 1989 it was rebuilt by the Buddhist community and reopened on October 18, 1991.
