Saskatchewan Telecommunications (SaskTel) is a Canadian telecommunications company and service provider headquartered in Regina . The state-owned telecommunications company operates under the Authority of the Saskatchewan Telecommunications Act . It is the last state-owned telecommunications company in Canada.

The company supplies 13 cities, including 535 smaller communities and around 49,000 farms. The company has 425,000 business and private customers, for whom 5,000 employees are responsible.   • 1984 SaskTel puts the world's longest commercially used fiber optic system into operation, with a length of 3,268 kilometers.
