A satellite radio beacon for marking the emergency position ( English satellite emergency position-indicating radiobeacon ) is - according to the definition of the VO radio of the International Telecommunication Union - a radio station of the mobile radio service via satellites , the broadcasts of which are intended to facilitate search and rescue work.
