Saturnino Martínez (born 1928 in León ; † November 7, 1960 ) was a Mexican football player who acted in defense .

biography

Martínez began his professional career in 1948 with Real Club España , which he left in 1950 after this club had withdrawn from the Mexican professional league . He moved to Club León , with which he won the Mexican championship in 1952.

In the 1953/54 season he played for Club Necaxa and then moved to CF Atlante . Saturnino Martínez probably died on November 7, 1960.

National team

Martínez made his debut in the Mexican national team on April 6, 1952 in a game for the Pan American Championships in Chile against Brazil, which was lost 2-0. His only appearance in a soccer world championship against France (2: 3) on June 19, 1954 was also his last international match.
