SaudiSAT-5A / B is the name of two Saudi Arabian earth observation satellites .

They were put into orbit on December 7, 2018 at 04:12 UTC with a Long March 2D launcher from the Jiuquan Cosmodrome (together with Tianyi X1-X3, Weina-1 03, Piao Chong 1-6).

The satellites, each weighing 200 kg, are equipped with a hyperspectral camera and should provide high-resolution images for urban planning, monitoring of movements and changes on the earth's surface. They were built by the KACST (King Abdulaziz City for Science & Technology).
