List of entries for the best foreign language film for the Academy Awards 2014

The following 76 films, all from different countries, were nominations in the Best Foreign Language Film category for the 2014 Academy Awards .

The countries were able to submit their proposals up to October 1, 2013, with Moldova, Montenegro and Saudi Arabia taking part in this procedure for the first time. In December 2013 a preselection with the nine semi-finalists was published. The final five nominations were announced on January 16, 2014 at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater . The Oscar finally went to the Italian film La Grande Bellezza - The great beauty of Paolo Sorrentino .
