action

Young Fred sees no meaning in his life and the world. He loses his job at the newspaper because he writes a review of Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life , which is all swear words. The first attempts as a novelist also fail. His friend Susanna, daughter of the editor-in-chief, explains to him that she is pregnant by him. Overwhelmed by all this, Fred decides to do everything completely differently and begins to work as a forklift driver - but this job does not satisfy him either.

reception

Critics praised in particular the acting performance of the main actor Lauri Lagle and the rock musician Peeter Volkonski in the role of the father. The film critics Jaak Lõhmus and Jaan Ruus emphasized that the subject of the film in particular - youth unemployment - is highly topical.

Trivia

The film was shot with a 16 mm camera and the music, which mostly dates from the 1970s, was recorded from records .
