The Saunders Basin is a lake basin in the Antarctic Ross Sea . It is just off the Saunders coast .

The designation recognized by the Advisory Committee for Undersea Features (ACUF) in June 1988 was based on the designation of the coast of the same name. It is named after the American cartographer Harold Eugene Saunders (1890–1961). The property is listed as a submarine bank in the Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica under the name Saunders Bank .
