Savagetown
The Tomb portal of Savagetown ( Irish Baile an tSabháistigh ) is located about 2.0 km west of Dunhill and west of Tramore , east of Kill in County Waterford in Ireland . In the British Isles, portal tombs are megalithic systems in which two equally high, upright stones with a door stone in between form the front of a chamber, which is covered with a sometimes huge capstone.
The location in a heavily overgrown field border makes it difficult to see the entire monument. The approximately 3.4 meter long capstone is visible, which rests on a portal stone and the southern side stone. The end stone is also present.
About 250 meters to the northeast was a 1.4 meter high menhir that was removed in the 1980s.
