Saviniano Perez

Saviniano Pérez , also known as Nano Pérez , (* 1907 in Melo ; † July 6, 1985 ) was a Uruguayan politician .

He was born the son of the politician of the same name Saviniano Pérez , the founder of El Censor , who was Concejal in Cerro Largo in 1922 and held a mandate as a member of the Cámara de Representantes from February 15, 1926 to March 31, 1933 . Pérez himself, a member of the Partido Nacional , was elected Intendente of the Cerro Largo Department in 1946 . He had previously failed in two elections in 1938 and 1942. He then held this office from 1947 to 1963, after he was able to decide the relevant elections in 1950, 1954 and 1958 in his favor. However, he did not succeed in doing this in 1962. Pérez was married to Rosa Henón de Pérez, who was three years his senior. He died as a result of cardiac arrest.
