Savvas Savvas ( Greek Σάββας Σάββας , born July 7, 1997 in Drama , Greece ) is a Greek handball player who last played for GWD Minden .
Career
Savvas started playing handball in his hometown at GS Drama 86 when he was five . In March 2014 he moved to Germany and played in the youth division of Eintracht Hildesheim . He then ran for the first team in the 2nd Bundesliga when he was only 17. In 2015, the native Greek moved to ASV Hamm-Westfalen after relegation from Eintracht Hildesheim to continue playing in the second division. In the summer of 2017, he returned to Hildesheim, where he was the top scorer in the 2nd Bundesliga . For the 2018/19 season he moved to the German Bundesliga club GWD Minden , but already suffered a partial tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in the preparation phase. After the 2019/20 season, he left Minden.
