Sayuri Sugawara

Sayuri Sugawara ( Japanese 菅原 紗 由 理 , Sugawara Sayuri ; born June 29, 1990 in Yokote , Akita Prefecture , Japan ) is a Japanese singer . It achieved popularity mainly through the song Kimi ga Iru Kara ( 君 が い る か ら ), the theme song for the Japanese version of the video game Final Fantasy XIII .

biography

Sayuri Sugawara is under contract with the record label For Life Music Entertainment . On December 17th, 2008 she digitally released her first song "Destiny". In April 2009 her EP Kimi ni Okuru Uta was released .

On September 3, 2009, Sugawara performed at the premiere of Final Fantasy XIII after it was announced that "Kimi ga Iru Kara" would be the theme song for the video game. The single was released on December 2, 2010, two weeks before the Japanese release date of Final Fantasy XIII . "Kimi da Iru Kara" stayed in the Japanese Oricon charts for eleven weeks and reached number 11. Her first album, First Story , was released on January 27, 2010 in Japan.
