Lists on the subject

The Sayyad-4 ( German for 'Jäger 4') is a long-range Iranian anti-aircraft missile that was presented to the public in 2014.

technology

The Sayyad-4 guided missile looks similar to the Sayyad-3 , but is larger and slightly more conical than its predecessor. It also shows similarities to the Russian torch 48N6E / E2 . The Sayyad-4 uses thrust vector control (TVC) to align its trajectory and either Seeker-Aided Ground Guidance (SAGG) or Track-via-Missile (TVM) is used as a targeting method. The Sayyad-4-guided missile can be launched by means of vertical tartan Langen (VLS) to those of the basis of their square shape MIM-104 Patriot - air defense missile system similar. The effective range of the missile should be 200 km and the service ceiling 27 km.

use

The Sayyad-4 is used surface to air missile in the Bavar-373 - anti-aircraft missile system , which in August 2019 Iran has been placed at the service.
