technology

The missile is said to be used by the Iranian Talash air defense system in conjunction with the Sayyad-2 anti-aircraft missile. The latter is designed for use against medium-range targets. No detailed information is given about the control of the missiles. It is claimed, however, that the missile is largely immune to electronic protective measures .

Sayyad-3 should be able to effectively combat high-flying targets with a small radar cross-section up to a range of 120 km and an altitude of 27 km. The speed is given as Mach  5.5. The guided missile is shot down from cuboid launch containers located on a truck. The weapon platform acts as a transport and launch unit in equal measure .

use

The Sayyad-3 surface-to-air guided missile is used in the anti-aircraft missile systems Talash-3 and 15. Khordad .
