15. Khordad ( Persian سامانه پدافند هوایی ۱۵ خرداد, German for air defense system 15. Khordad) is an Iranian long-range anti - aircraft missile system . The system was presented to the public on June 9, 2019. It is able to detect and combat combat aircraft , drones and cruise missiles .

The 15. Khordad anti-aircraft missile system was developed and manufactured by Aerospace Industries Organization . It is equipped with a modern phased array radar system called Najm-804 , which performs both target acquisition and tracking of potential threats. General Hatami the Iranian armed forces reported at the launch of the system on June 9, 2019 that it warplanes and drones at a distance of 150 km to discover and km at a distance of 120 by Sayyad-3 - ground-to-air missiles capable of neutralizing. It should be able to locate stealth targets within a range of 85 km and destroy them at a distance of 45 km. With its phased array radar system , it should be able to attack six targets with two missiles each and should also be extremely mobile and fully operational in just five minutes of preparation time. The radar system is located on a single vehicle together with the fire control and command post . The system 15 Khordad can be both anti-aircraft missiles of the type Sayyad-2 using 3-Sayyad and type. Sayyad-2 missiles have a range of up to 75 km, while Sayyad-3 missiles can reach distances of approximately 120 km. Three launch vehicles, each with four rocket launch containers, are used in this system.
