Sbu Duma

Sibusiso "Sbu" Duma (* 1985 in Howick , Natal ; † May 3, 2012 in Lidgetton ) was a South African polo player .

life and career

Duma was sponsored by the German Wilhelm & Karl Maybach Foundation and was part of their Post-Apartheid Role Model (PARM) project from 2008 . He was considered an exceptional talent and was the most successful international polo player of the Polo Association of South Africa; he represented South Africa at international tournaments in Argentina, Spain, France, Germany and Great Britain.

In 2009 he won the prestigious Hippocampus Cup in Saint-Tropez .

Duma was stabbed to death on May 3, 2012 in Lidgetton, KwaZulu-Natal .
