Scanography of a moth
The term scanography describes a photographic process and its results in which a scanner is used to digitize the immediate surroundings. The difference to normal photography is that the scanner records the surroundings successively and thus the result retains a temporal development of the photographed subject. Another difference is the lens , which in the case of a scanner behaves like a cylindrical lens and causes a distortion of the images.
Difference to xerography
The results achieved are comparable to the results of xerography , but the slower movement of the slide with the optics means that more time is available for dynamic effects.
Difference to long exposure
A long exposure affects the entire image, while in scanography only the respective line is affected.
