Scarlett Thomas
Scarlett Thomas (* 1972 in London ) is an English writer.
Scarlett Thomas studied cultural studies at the University of East London until 1995 . In 1998, the first novel in her Lily Pascale crime trilogy appeared with Eine Klasse für sich, which she continued with Faule Tricks (1999) and Seaside (2000). In 2000 she participated with Mind Control in the programmatic short story book All Hail the New Puritans .
Her following novels are Going Out , about the odyssey of a light allergic person , and Bright Young Things , which is rich in allusions to pop culture . PopCo (2004) and Troposphere (2006) move on the border between science and philosophy.
Scarlett Thomas has written reviews for The Independent and Scotland on Sunday . She lives in Canterbury , where she has also been teaching creative writing at the University of Kent since 2004 .
