The event Schöne Sterne (spelling SCHÖNE STERNE) is a group-independent meeting of owners and fans of the automobile brand Mercedes-Benz in Hattingen (Ruhr) that has been held annually since 2010 .

The first event was held in 2010, more than 250 vehicles came to the exhibition. Since then there has been an increasing number of vehicles and visitors. For the two-day event, the former steel works in Hattingen (LWL-Industriemuseum Henrichshütte) in the immediate vicinity of the Ruhr is currently used as the backdrop.

The event has meanwhile achieved supra-regional importance. The international guests regularly include representatives from Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg as well as from Norway, Ukraine, China, Denmark, Switzerland, Lithuania and Russia. According to the organizer, it is the largest independent meeting of drivers and fans of the automobile brand Mercedes-Benz. The sponsors and exhibitors now include the Essen Motor Show , the automotive supplier Hella and Fahrzeug-Werke Lueg AG, Germany's largest sales and service partner of Daimler AG. The Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung has been the media partner of Schöne Sterne since 2014 .

In 2015 there were 1,900 vehicles and 9,000 visitors, in 2016 there were already 11,000 visitors. The meeting is organized by the media group E-Mags-Media GmbH in Essen, whose portfolio includes the online magazine Mercedes-Fans.de.
