The building at Schönebecker Strasse 9 is a listed residential building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located at the eaves on the south side of Schönebecker Strasse in the Buckau district of Magdeburg . The building, which is also listed, is adjacent to Schönebecker Strasse 8 to the west.

Architecture and history

The three - and - a - half- storey half- timbered building was probably built in 1886 as a so-called rayon house and served as a production building for the Schäffer and Budenberg company . The facade is eight-axis and the half-timbered construction is simply made up of bars and posts. The compartments are plastered. The building is covered by a flat gable roof .

In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a monument under registration number 094 76824 .

At the eastern end of the row of streets, the building is seen as defining the street scene. Currently (as of 2020) the house is empty and needs renovation.
