List of apple varieties |
A variety of the cultivated apple is referred to as `` Schöner von Herrnhut '' , also known as Herrnhut . The apple from the Saxon town of Herrnhut was found by A. Heintze around 1880 and was available in stores from 1900. It is a juicy, sweet and sour table apple.
The apple is moderately susceptible to scab and powdery mildew . The wood of the tree is very frost-hardy, but shows a peak drought . Good yielding years and poor harvests alternate well as a sap crop. The hardly susceptible to bitter pit fruit, under pressure from overly sensitive is suitable for fresh consumption and juice, Musverarbeitung does not make sense.
