Pouring (art)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pouring refers to a process in art in which a work of art is produced by deliberately and systematically pouring a material. A bed can also be a partial element in the production of a work of art.

Theoretical reference points

This technique has a theoretical reference point in the style of action painting or abstract expressionism , which was largely developed by Jackson Pollock in the 1950s . Another point of reference is the concept of Landart , especially since some of the materials found there can be processed in this way and only develop their unique effect in the unprocessed state (example: pollen).
