The Schützenbrunnen is a historic fountain in the old town of Brugg in the canton of Aargau . It is a cultural asset of regional importance .

description

This late Renaissance fountain from 1603 is hunched on a prismatic base. An inscription is engraved around the round bowl on the edge of the fountain. The fountain has a concentric stick, a baluster column with acanthus leaves and a rich composite capital . A ball is attached to the cover plate at the top of the well stock. The pouring tubes are in masks and end up as a mythical animal's head. The fountain bowl was renewed in 1980.
