German Chess League 2016/17 (Austria, women)

The 2016/17 season was the sixth season of the Austrian Women's Bundesliga in chess .

The twelve participating teams played a seven-round tournament in the Swiss system , although Tschaturanga withdrew from the tournament after the fifth and the Feldbach-Kirchberg community after the sixth round. The defending champion ASVÖ Pamhagen prevailed again and only gave one draw.

Remarks:

  • In the competition between Mayrhofen / Zell / Zillertal and Extraherb WS, the last board was not occupied by both sides and thus scored 0-0, so that only three board points were awarded.
  • Feldbach-Kirchberg received the bye in the sixth round, for which they were each awarded two team and board points.
