Regina Theissl-Pokorná (born Regina Pokorná in Bratislava on January 18, 1982 ) is a Slovak chess master who has been eligible to play for the Austrian Chess Federation since June 2015 .
Career
Pokorná received the title of women's chess grandmaster in 2000 .
She won or occupied top places in several tournaments: II. Place (1991) and III. 1st place (1992) in the U10 World Championship (girls) , 1st place in the European U10 championship (girls) (1992), 1st place in the Slovak U14 championship (girls) (1993), 2nd place in the U12 World Championship (Girls) (1994), III. 1st place in the U14 World Championship (girls) (1996), three times 1st place in the Slovak U18 championship (girls) (1996, 1997, 1999), 1st place in the European U20 championship (girls) (1999), Four times 1st place, of which once shared in Rijeka (2001, 2002, 2005, 2009), 1st place EWS Cup in Jakarta (2007), 1st place in Vrbnik (2008). She became the Slovak women's champion in 2009 and Austrian women's national champion in 2019.
With their highest ever Elo rating of 2429 she was in October 2003 at the 32nd place in the FIDE world ranking of women.
National team
Pokorná took part in all eight women's chess Olympiads from 1998 to 2012 . In 1997, 1999 and 2001 she took part in the European Women's Team Championship with Slovakia and in 2015 for the first time with Austria. In 1999 in Batumi she won with the team and reached third place on the second board in the individual ranking.

In the Slovak Extraliga Pokorná played from 1993 to 2004 for ŠK Dunaj Bratislava , with whom she won the Slovak team championship in 1997 , in the 2008/09 season for ŠK Trenčín , and since 2011 she has played for ŠK Doprastav Bratislava . In the Czech Extra League Pokorná played for ŠK Mahrla Prague from 2000 to 2003 , in the British Four Nations Chess League she played for Wood Green's second team in the 2004/05 season , and for their first team and in the from 2006 to 2008 2008-09 season for Pride and Prejudice . Theissl-Pokorná has been playing in the German women's Bundesliga since 2000 for the Rodewisch chess chicks , and in the French women's team championship in 2009 she played for Bischwiller . In Austria Theissl-Pokorná plays in the 2nd Bundesliga for SK Austria and in the women's Bundesliga for ASVÖ Pamhagen , with whom she won the title in 2016 , 2017 and 2019 .
