The Schacherseppli-Weg is a hiking trail in Giswil in the canton of Obwalden in Switzerland . The path was laid out in honor of the Swiss folk musician Ruedi Rymann and his song Der Schacherseppli .

The Schacherseppli-Weg starts as a circular hike at Giswil train station. At the starting point there is a large Schacherseppli figure carved out of wood. There are boards all along the way that give the visitor information about Ruedi Rymann.

variants

The adventure trail consists of two circular hiking routes. The shorter, blue-marked path runs for around 4 km and is dedicated to the song Der Schacherseppli . This route is passable for prams and wheelchairs.

The longer, red marked path leads for around 10 km. This route is dedicated to the yodeler , gamekeeper and nature lover Ruedi Rymann himself. Ruedi Rymann was an honorary citizen of Giswil.
