The Arthur de Buyer shaft or shaft No. 11 is located in the municipality of Magny-Danigon in the French region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and was one of the most important coal mines of Ronchamp . Active from 1900 to the early 1950s, its depth was 1010 meters, making it the deepest mine in France in the early 20th century. After extracting coal for nearly half a century, there were several attempts at reconstruction by the beginning of the 21st century. Today only ruins are left.
