Shamma Shahadat

Schamma Schahadat (born September 6, 1961 in Kiel ) is a German literary scholar and Slavist .

Life

Schamma Schahadat studied Russian and English at the University of Cologne and passed the state examination in 1987. After stays abroad in Moscow and San Francisco, she worked at the University of Konstanz from 1991, where she received her doctorate in 1994 from Renate Lachmann on "Intertextuality and epoch poetics in the dramas of Alexandr Bloks" and in 2001 with the topic of "Making life into art." Art of living in Russia from the 16th to the 20th century " habilitated . Since autumn 2005 she has been a full professor for Slavic literature at the University of Tübingen . In addition, she was the equal opportunities officer there from 2006 to 2011. She has been a member of the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities since 2017 .
