The Schardt Verlag is an established in 1998 publisher based in Oldenburg ( Lower Saxony ), which mainly contemporary fiction and biographies published.

The focus of the almost 60 publications per year are crime stories with a regional reference (so-called regiokrimis ), which make up about half of the publications; but also so-called women's novels or novels with general topics and a small section of poetry are part of the program.

The publisher's authors include Heidrun Bücker, Frank-Peter Hansen , George Tenner , Joe Schlosser , Beatrice Sonntag , Sylvia Voigt and Herbert Wetterauer .

history

Emerging is the Schardt Verlag from 1987 founded by Michael Schardt Igel Verlag , which was mainly to German-language literature partly forgotten Jewish authors and non-fiction books in the field of German specialized. In 2008, ten years after the publishing house was founded, the Schardt Verlag was transferred to Renée Repotente, who has worked for many years and is still in charge today.
