The Scharfe Lanke is a bay of the Havel in the Berlin district of Wilhelmstadt . It lies west of the Havel, bounded in the north by the Heerstrasse ; the Pichelsdorf peninsula forms the eastern edge . The Scharfe Lanke is limited to the west by the Haveldüne .

The common water name Lanke is of Polish origin and denotes u. a. Bulges of stagnant water as well as swampy meadows, which sums up the conditions on the Scharfen Lanke well.

There are several rowing and sailing clubs on the Scharfen Lanke, u. a. the ATV Arminia-Cheruscia Berlin, the Academic Sailing Association (ASV), the Spandauer Yacht Club, the Segler Club Gothia e. V., the rowing union Arkonia, the rowing club Dresdenia e. V. or the rowing association Hellas-Titania e. V. Next to it, on the west bank of the Scharfen Lanke, is the Marina Lanke , one of the largest marinas in Berlin. It was not the first time it fell victim to a major fire in 2014, but has since been renovated.
