The Scharnhorst Realschule, later also called Scharnhorstschule , was a secondary and secondary school in Wunstorf . The original location of the school, founded in 1904 and closed in 2015, was Oswald-Boelcke-Straße , most recently Straße Nordbruch 23 at the location of the later Evangelical IGS Wunstorf .

The Scharnhorst Realschule, which was founded in 1904 at the time of the German Empire, was the educational institution with the longest tradition in Wunstorf.

After the North Orientation Level was initially set up in the school center "An der Aue" in 1976 and closed in 2004 - like all orientation levels in Lower Saxony - the Scharnhorst Realschule took over some of the students in grades 5 in the same year and almost exactly a century after it was founded and 6, while the main school Erich Kästner-Schule integrated in the school center took over the other part of the students.

On August 1, 2005, Siegfried Kröning, the school principal of many years, retired and was temporarily replaced by Udo David, while the Erich Kästner School continued to be headed by its previous principal Ottfried Wruck.

In March 2006, Frank Kasburg took over the management of the Realschule, and from August 1st of that year also the educational institution, which was combined from the Erich-Kästner-Hauptschule and the Scharnhorst-Realschule under the provisional working name Haupt- und Realschule "An der Aue" Both types of school were renamed Scharnhorstschule on June 1st of the following year.

After the fifth graders of the Scharnhorst School were admitted to the Integrated Comprehensive School in Wunstorf in the same building on August 1, 2005, the Scharnhorst School expired on July 31, 2015 after the last three classes of the 10th year were dismissed and was closed.
