The brothers Scharpf KG Maschinenfabrik was founded in 1937 by Erwin and Otto Scharpf as brothers Scharpf KG machine and apparatus in Stuttgart - Zuffenhausen for the production of spin dryers founded.
At the Stuttgart site, Scharpf manufactured spin-dryers with the model designation Schleuderfee, Schleuderboy and Schleuderprinz as well as pure washing machines without a spin function for drying. With the Semiautomatic, there was also a fully automatic washing machine in the range. From 1959 export was expanded and expanded to a total of 59 countries. With 120,000 units sold in 1966, the company was the largest manufacturer of spin dryers in Germany.
Due to strong competition and the displacement of the extractors by washing machines, Scharpf had to file for bankruptcy in 1970 and stop production. On July 17, 1980, the trademark was deleted from the commercial register .
