Treasure (unit)
Schatz was a measure of field and area in many places in Alsace . It was intended for surveying vineyard land. The measure was mentioned on bills for the long lease as early as 1347 ( Sulz ) and 1351 ( Sennheim ).
- 1 treasure = 30 square rods = ⅓ Juchart
The square rod was set to be 30 rods long and 1 rod wide.
