education

The aim is to train young people for the profession of actors for stage and film and as speakers for radio and television. In contrast to many other schools, the Wiesbaden Drama School offers a three-month trial period. During this time, the trainees receive lessons in many curriculum subjects. After a three-month probationary period, the subsequent training usually lasts three years. An intermediate examination must be taken after the first year of training and the final examination after another two years.

The curriculum prescribed by the ministry includes breathing / voice / speaking, theory, role play and body work. The institution teaches role work from the first year of training in duo lessons and from the second year in individual lessons. The curriculum is supplemented by workshops in which the individual training areas are deepened or advanced knowledge of the later area of activity is imparted. Every year, at least two theater productions are created with the respective ensemble of the main course. The final examination is held by a three-person examination committee chaired by a representative of the Hessian Ministry for Science and Art.
