Scheme F

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Colloquially, the term `` scheme F '' is used when something is bureaucratic - routinely , stereotypically , mechanically or thoughtlessly. The term goes back to the forms for the Prussian army prescribed after 1861 so-called Front reports , filled out reports on the stock proof of full war footing. These forms were with the letter F in. When checking the number of troops, it had to match the information on the form exactly.

Possibly the phrase is older, because in the "Instruction on target shooting of infantry battalions armed with needle guns" printed in 1855, the sentence "The use of these is shown in the ammunition calculation according to scheme F" can be found on page 11. . ". Scheme F contained specifications for completing the shooting report.
