The Schenara (self-name Syenara ), sometimes also called Senufo-Schenara , is one of a cluster of languages called Senari . It is a Senufo language spoken in Mali and the Sikasso and Kadiolo circles , as well as in the Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso .

It belongs to the Senufo language group and is spoken by around 100,000 people in Mali . Many of the original Schenari speakers now speak French , the only official language in Mali.

It is very close to most of the other Senufo languages, as is Mamara .

In Mali, the Schenara is written with a Latin alphabet , which was defined by decree N o 159 / PG-RM of July 19, 1982.
