Schesep , also shep or henet , ( English also palm ) was the ancient Egyptian name of the ancient Egyptian hand width , which measured 7.5 centimeters. A hand's breadth was the length of four Djeba ( fingers ). Seven Schesep resulted in a king's cell and six Schesep made a small cubit (0.45 meters). The Schesep unit of measurement was used, among other things, to measure the height of the Nile flood .
