The Schifferstadter Tagblatt is a local daily newspaper in Schifferstadt . The print edition of the newspaper today takes over the national part of the publishing group Rhein Main in Mainz.
history
The newspaper was founded in 1905 by Emil Geier, the grandfather of the later publisher of the same name, and initially appeared once a week under the name Schifferstadter Anzeiger . From 1910 the newspaper became the official gazette of Schifferstadt and appeared three times a week. In 1917 the sheet was renamed Bote vom Rehbach . From 1927 it appeared as a daily newspaper. Due to the war, the last edition of the newspaper was published on June 20, 1942. After the compulsory license was given up in 1949, the newspaper founder's descendants resumed newspaper operations, eventually under the current name. In 1993 a rotary press for four-color printing was put into operation. There is now also a website and a presence on Facebook.

The sold circulation of the Schifferstadter Tagblatt was 1,953 copies in the first quarter of 2012, when it was last reported to the IVW .
Development of the number of copies sold
The most recent advertisement price list has been valid since April 1, 2013 and speaks of a circulation of 3000 copies. According to this, 85 percent of the adult population of Schifferstadt read the newspaper every day.
