Schiller Monument (Breslau)
The Schiller memorial stands in the log Niger Park , a city park in the district Scheitnig in Wroclaw .
history
The monument was erected on May 9, 1905 on the 100th anniversary of Schiller's death by the Breslau Schiller Society. It was destroyed in the Battle of Breslau , but thanks to the efforts of the Society for Polish-German Cultural Cooperation THEATER AN DER OR eV was rebuilt. It was unveiled for the second time on May 9, 1995, the 190th anniversary of Schiller's death and the 50th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
