The Schillerstraße 57 farm complex is located in Lang-Göns , a district of the Langgöns community in the district of Gießen ( Hesse ). Due to the lavishly designed half-timbered house and the emphasis placed on the Hüttenberger Hoftor gate in the streetscape of the particularly broad Schillerstrasse, the half-timbered house , the courtyard gate and the preserved farm building are an artistic and urban Hessian cultural monument.

The half-timbered house was probably built around 1700. The two-storey building, with two window axes and slim proportions facing the street, rests on a rubble stone base that tapers upwards in a trapezoidal shape. The symmetrically structured half-timbering on the gable side shows, in addition to the simple half-timbering on the ground floor, influences of the Rhenish-style half-timbered construction. The beams of the framework are dark red, the fields white. The gable and the eaves facing the inner courtyard were clad with wooden shingles in 2009/2010. The house ends with a simple gable roof. In the horizontal beams between the floors, filler wood structured with notches decorates the areas between the beam heads. The threshold on which the upper floor rests is profiled like a cornice with a blue and a yellow colored groove. The thresholds of the gable roof and the pointed gable are covered with a yellow diamond band under the wooden shingles. The corner posts on the upper floor are designed as quarter columns towards the edge, painted blue and framed with yellow circles. They are each emphasized by three-quarter storey-high struts, which are provided with nested and curved counter-struts below the transoms and contain yellow-profiled quarter-circle rosettes in the head angle wood . In the center under the gable window there is a diamond motif designed with angular wood, which is reinforced with diamond bands. The diamond motif is emphasized on both sides by curved short struts. The white window frames are surrounded by blue drapery, the cast-iron shutter holders show busts. In 1987 the building was awarded second place in the facade competition of the painters 'and varnishers' guild for the district and the city of Giessen.

On the eaves sides, too, the ornamental cross-beams run along the entire length. Under the courtyard side, which is now tiled, a man's figure is given its appearance by nasal struts and curved short struts. Also facing the courtyard is another diamond figure, which is also studded with noses. The half-timbered structure on the opposite side of the house, where a narrow path once ran, stands on two different heights and is more simple.

The younger roofed gate is on the left and is designed as a Hüttenberger courtyard gate , with a separate gate, gate and half-timbered cladding. The compartment above the gate is provided with six square, vertical bars that are rotated 45 degrees and aligned with one edge to the street side. The bars of the gate system are in dark red, the doors in dark green.

The barn, today a workshop for the Citroën 2CV is -Oldtimer is dated with the year 1869 and was made Niederkleen translocated , the previous building was a fire fallen victim.

The building at Schillerstraße 57 and the buildings on the same side of the street to the west up to and including Schillerstraße 73 with their court rides from the 18th and 19th centuries, half-timbered houses and ancillary buildings that extend far into the parcels, represent an overall picture as a building ensemble and are part of the overall listed complex historical center of Lang-Göns .
