Schillton

The Schillton was a volume measure for lime in the Duchy of Oldenburg . The measure was used by the sworn knives for shopping and storage.

  • 1 schillton = 3 ⅝ bushels = 58 jugs (golden-shaped) = 82,654 liters

For comparison the lime barrel smaller by 2 cans:

  • 1 lime barrel = 3 ½ bushels = 56 cans (oldburg. Grain cans) = 79,810 liters
