Barrel
The barrel was a volumetric measure ( measure of capacity ) for dry and liquid substances in Europe in the 19th century.
It must be noted that these dimensions differed from place to place.
So z. B. applied to
- Dresden : 1 ton = 98.238 liters
- Prussia : 1 ton = 100 substances = 114.5 liters (beer)
- Sweden : 1 ton = 164.84 liters
The ton match the order cask , tub / tub , the great dispensing buckets , and other old capacity measures .
