Schlütter is the name of a noble family from Hanover.

The family line begins with Diedrich Schlüter (* 1475 Hudemühlen near Hanover, † 1537). Johann Christian Schlueter (born January 15, 1655, † August 2, 1731, electoral major general of Brunswick-Lüneburg and chief of a cavalry regiment) was elevated to knightly imperial nobility in Vienna in 1725 by the emperor with the name of Schlütter . He was married to Anna Sabina von Klinggräff (* November 6, 1672, † November 2, 1714).
