The battle of Kirdorf ( Kirdorf in the Hochtaunuskreis , not to be confused with Kirtorf west of Alsfeld) took place on December 20, 1621 as part of the Thirty Years War . Christian von Halberstadt was defeated by the troops of the Catholic League .
Close to the Battle of Höchst , on June 5, 1622, the village of Kirdorf (today part of Bad Homburg vor der Höhe ) was burned down by the troops of Duke Christian von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel .
