Battle of Sasireti

The Battle of Sasireti was a battle in the spring of 1042 near the then village of Sasireti in the Kartli region in Georgia between King Bagrat IV and Prince Liparit IV. Baghrat was supported by Varangian warriors from Sweden, Liparit by Byzantine units. The battle ended in a victory for the rebels.
